Harvest 2015

It has been 8 years since Château Mukhrani has established a tradition of inviting guests to participate in the harvest. They gather on the beautiful territory of the Château early in the morning. This year the harvest in Mukhranbatoni estate was planned on October 18th and for this day the place turned into a center of Georgian culture. Before the harvest, the guests were introduced to different sorts of grapes and wine and to other Georgian traditions.

Another reason to visit the Mukhranbatoni estate on this day was the opening of the St. Ketevan’s Panel. The St. Ketevan’s Panel represents the exact copy of the Da Graca Convent, located in Lisbon. It is made of the same material and technology as the original and depicts the life and demise of the martyr queen of Georgia: Saint Ketevan (1570-1624). The reproduction of the Panel will stay in Château Mukhrani.

The harvest began – the guests helped with picking up grapes and soon the winepress was full. These grapes have a long way to go before they become wines, similar to those that are offered here, at Château Mukhrani. Goruli Mtsvane, Shavkapito, Tavkveri, Muscat, you can always find a wine that pleases your mood. Château Mukhrani doors are open for guests every day.
